Linn County snow crews are hanging it up for the night as more accumulation and fiercer snow drifts are expected to reclaim county roadways tonight.
The Linn County Engineer's office announced that the county's secondary road department efforts stopped at 3:30 p.m. The sixteen plows in the county's priority crew will continue to clear main roads in the county until 6 p.m.
This means that priority roads such as Mount Vernon Road and County Home Road will be easier for drivers to handle than the secondary roads such as Amana Road and Highway 151 to Springville.
County crews will hit the roads again at 4 a.m. tomorrow, and officials continue to caution drivers against unnecessary travel.
The routes marked by colors and little squares are the county's priority roads which crews will continue to plow until 6 p.m. while the black-lined roads are secondary routes that won't see attention until tomorrow morning.
