Cardella, a voice for all the county’s taxpayers

In this day and age, when politics seems to be all about money and personal gain, Johnson County is fortunate to have a candidate for the county supervisor position who is running because of concern for the taxpayers of the county.
In a day when government can't seem to get enough of the taxpayers' dollars, Lori Cardella has led the fight to control taxes in Johnson County as leader of the “Flip No” campaign against the $20 million bond issue and the “Ax The Tax” effort against the one percent local-option sales tax increase.
She also has been a strong voice on the Solon school board's governance board.
Lori, and her husband Tom, have been very philanthropic to Johnson County and Solon area causes. They have donated substantial sums to the Solon Recreation and Nature Area, as well as the Solon Library, Randall Park, Lake Macbride State Park, St. Mary's Catholic Church, Boy Scouts, Solon Firefighters, Ronald McDonald House, the University of Iowa Athletics Department and UI football and basketball programs, to mention a few.
Lori is an honest and caring person who will bring a listening ear and a voice of reason for the people of Johnson County.
Since the county has had a one-party government for the past half century and is one of the highest taxed counties in the state, a vote for Lori in the special election on Jan. 19 will support a voice of constraint for all the county's taxpayers.
