Tell leaders you want right-to-work protection
The Gazette Opinion Staff
Feb. 10, 2010 11:49 pm
With the 2010 Legislature in session comes the threat that the anti-right-to-work bill, “fair share,” could be passed. Without right to work, Iowa will be less attractive to businesses, which will cost us much-needed jobs and state tax revenue - the very thing we don't need.
Please contact your state lawmakers, especially Sen. Majority Leader Mike Gronstal, Speaker of the House Pat Murphy and Gov. Chet Culver. Politely reminded them this is an election year and that we expect them to protect our right to work. No state has ever repealed a right-to-work law; don't let Iowa be the first.
