Westbound Interstate 80 shut down due to accident

Officials from the Iowa State Patrol said that troopers are handling an accident on the westbound lanes Interstate 80.

The accident occurred at the Tipton exchange, roughly halfway between Iowa City and Davenport, and troopers have shutdown westbound traffic.

Troopers were unable to say if there were injuries.
