Mexicans in Iowa should speak English
The Gazette Opinion Staff
Feb. 19, 2010 11:48 pm
Regarding Tuesday's Gazette, the picture of the billboard with a “don't do drugs” message in Spanish: If they live in Cedar Rapids, they should be speaking English. You wouldn't think of moving down in Mexico without knowing how to speak their language. I don't blame the Mexicans as much as I do the natives from here for exploiting messages like this. There are a select few that continue to send messages like this.
Quit trying to change our language or leave the country!
