Iowa football public ticket prices increase $3 a game

Iowa will increase public ticket prices by $3 per game for the 2010 football season.
Public season tickets will increase $3 per game to $360 with an average cost of $51.40. Faculty and staff tickets increase by $2 per game to $290, while students' tickets also increased $2 to $168. Iowa sold around 53,000 football season tickets last year.
Iowa finished 11-2 overall and No. 7 in the final Associated Press and USA Today/Coaches polls. Iowa won its first major bowl game since 1959 after beating Georgia Tech 24-14 in the Orange Bowl on Jan. 5.
Iowa has one of the nation's most attractive home schedules next fall. Iowa hosts bowl participants Ohio State, Penn State, Wisconsin, Michigan State and Iowa State. Iowa also faces Ball State and Eastern Illinois at Kinnick Stadium next fall.
Single-game tickets go on sale in July. Iowa will charge $65 a ticket for games against Ohio State, Penn State, Wisconsin and Iowa State. Ticket prices for Ball State, Eastern Illinois and Michigan State will cost $55.
The Hawkeyes return seven primary starters on offense and eight on defense next year.
