Lickliter's with the team in Indy but rumors swirl about his future

Iowa Coach Todd Lickliter accompanied the team to Indianapolis and appears to be in good spirits, people close to him say. Rumors swirl about his future with the team, not only from endless speculation by reporters but with people connected to the  program. That's the general theme right now.

This can't last forever. Expect something soon on this front, one way or the other.

On Tuesday, Lickliter was was asked about how he deals with losing this year. Here's what he said:

"How have I handled it? There's no recipe. I just tried to draw on experience and also draw on how to do the right thing. Focus on what's important and help these guys grow. Try to keep it in perspective for them without selling them short, let them know that they've got a very bright future, but we can't sell out the present to do that. We know we're going to be better because we're going to continue to work and making sure we're getting better each day."

Here's what he said about how he deals with his players:

"We meet every day and we talk every day and we talk about what we're trying to accomplish as a team. We talk all the time."
