April 2, 2007 - Iowa athletics director Gary Barta hires Lickliter as Iowa's next head coach. Lickliter later signs a seven-year contract at $1.2 million per year
April 20, 2007 - Top Iowa freshman Tyler Smith leaves program, just 17 days after he said he'd stay at Iowa
Nov. 9, 2007 - Lickliter era begins with a 58-43 win over Idaho State
Jan. 12, 2008 - Iowa upsets No. 6 Michigan State, 43-36
March 13, 2008 - Iowa loses to Michigan in Big Ten tournament, its then-record 19th regular-season loss
May 2, 2008 - Leading scorer Tony Freeman announces he'll transfer from Iowa after repeated issues with Lickliter
Dec. 27, 2008 - Iowa completes non-conference portion of its schedule 10-3 with wins over Kansas State, Iowa State and Northern Iowa
March 12, 2009 - Iowa ends season 15-17 with another loss to Michigan in Big Ten tournament
March 27, 2009 - Two weeks after finishing their season with a 15-17 record, four players with starting experience announce they will transfer. That includes starting point guard Jeff Peterson and leading scorer Jake Kelly
Dec. 20, 2009 - Starting guard Anthony Tucker arrested for public intoxication and immediately suspended
Feb. 12, 2010 - Tucker announces he will transfer, the ninth scholarship player with eligibility to leave Iowa under Lickliter
Feb. 13, 2010 - Iowa scores only 40 points in a loss at Purdue, the first time since 1949 the Hawkeyes have scored 40 or fewer points in a game
March 3, 2010 - Iowa again scores only 40 points, this time at Wisconsin in the school's worst all-time defeat to the Badgers.
March 7, 2010 - Minnesota blasts Iowa by 35 points, the worst loss to the Gophers in 108 years.
March 11, 2010 - Iowa loses to Michigan in Big Ten tournament to set single-season school record with 22 losses. Lickliter asked about his future and said “I haven't been told I'm not (the coach) so until I'm told I'm not, I am.”
March 15, 2010 - Iowa fires Lickliter after three seasons as coach
