Cedar Rapids customers from Mount Vernon Road to Mansfield Street SE will be without water this afternoon after a contractor hit a water main on 31st Street SE, Cedar Rapids officials said today.
The main was hit around 2 p.m. Officials expected the water to be off for 3 to 4 hours.
31st Street between Dalewood Avenue and Meadowbrook Drive is closed for water main work, officials said earlier today. The closure is expected to last approximately three weeks.
