Rights panel plans fair housing celebration

CEDAR RAPIDS - The Cedar Rapids Civil Rights Commission will hold a proclamation presentation and social April 30 marking the 42nd anniversary of the federal Fair Housing Act.
The event will be noon to 1 p.m. in the north conference room at AEGON North, the city's temporary offices, at 3851 River Ridge Dr. NE. After a commission presentation, Mayor Ron Corbett will issue the city's Fair Housing proclamation. Refreshments will be served.
