Many supported Shelter House event

The communitywide effort to kick off Shelter House's Endowment Campaign did indeed raise the roof at the Johnson County Fair Grounds the last weekend in March. June Braverman, director, pulled out all the stops in creating a musical extravaganza that included 160 local performers from a variety of performance groups.
The musical was a success in many ways, but most impressive of all was the effort to raise awareness of and funds for Shelter House's endowment campaign - “Keeping the Doors Open.” Funds raised from the event will go directly to the Shelter House Endowment Fund at the Community Foundation of Johnson County. The fund is exclusively for operational support.
We have a long list of individuals, businesses and organizations to recognize for making this event successful. Please see www.shelter
houseiowa.org and click on Good News in the banner for the details.
For all who support Shelter House's mission, singing the finale “Bless This House” with the performers held significant meaning. With great appreciation and thanks,
Joyce Leff, Chair
The Shelter House Endowment committee
