Pick up trash bags dumped along Edgewood
The Gazette Opinion Staff
Apr. 10, 2010 12:17 am
Since December I've seen bags of trash on Edgewood Road, near the airport, 12 bags. I believe the police should pick them up, get some addresses and pass out fines. They have been dropped here on purpose, not accidentally.
You can drive 100 miles east or west on Interstate 80 and not see as much trash in 100 feet as you see on Edgewood Road.
Several weeks ago, I called the garbage department. No trucks, no supervisors? I know it covers this area between the streets department and the county.
Supervisors could have picked these up in their pickups. So, please use your crews, seasonal, road crews or volunteers to pick up these areas.
