Obama wasn’t honest on health care reform

Regarding the April 12 front-page article titled “Have insurance from work? Change coming there, too”: It asks “Will my employer be able to scale back benefits?” And it answers “Yes. Most employers that now offer health plans would be able to change the kind of medical benefits they offer their employees, potentially increasing co-payments and deductibles or reducing what their plans cover.”
In other words, higher health care costs and fewer benefits as a result of Obamacare.
And there is another article about health care on the front page of the April 13 edition about higher costs for health care insurance. Wellmark Blue Cross-Blue Shield has asked for and received permission from Iowa state regulators to raise rates 18 percent.
In its infancy, Obamacare already is having a profound negative effect on health care. But just wait. President Barack Obama, under the euphemism of “immigration reform,” wants to offer amnesty to all illegal immigrants in this country and have legal taxpayers pay for their health care. Ominous dramatic cost increases and dramatic coverage decreases await this action.
Now wait a minute. Obama, when urging passage of the health care bill, promised the average citizen would see savings of up to $2,500 per year on health care costs when the Obamacare bill became law.
It should be coming clearer to most people that the president wasn't telling the truth.
