UI to break ground on dentistry building

Officials will break ground for the new addition to the University of Iowa College of Dentistry at 4 p.m. Friday in the southeast corner of Parking Lot 44 next to the facility.
The $60 million project includes a building addition and clinic transformation. Projected completion date is summer 2015.
Speakers at the event will include Flynn Andrizzi, senior vice president of the UI Foundation; Jack Evans, president pro tem, state Board of Regents; UI President Sally Mason; David Johnsen, College of Dentistry dean; Scott Anderson, president of the Iowa American Student Dental Association; and Garland Hershey, chairman of the building campaign for the College of Dentistry.
