Ellis Pool gets spring cleaning; grand re-opening June 5
Cedar Rapids began its annual round of cleaning the municipal pools yesterday, starting with the Ellis Pool.
It will be re-opening this year for the first time since the 2008 flood. A grand re-opening ceremony is slated for Saturday, June 5 at 11:30 a.m., with a free opening-day swim after the dedication.
Preparing all the pools for the summer will last for the next few weeks.
