Right-wing circus could use humility, honesty

Why do some Republicans lean toward the hyperbolic belligerence of the George Bush-Dick Cheney-Fox News-Glenn Beck-Rush Limbaugh circus act? It's simple. President Obama has turned out to be a centrist in the act of governing and they have nowhere to go but to the crazy fringe of the party.
Would they oust Ronald Reagan if he were still around? Maybe. A quote from his second inauguration: “We seek the total elimination, one day, of nuclear weapons from the face of the Earth.” He must be a left-winger and part of the “Hate America” crowd.
I wonder if Beck could show us a diagram of how to go from Reagan to Adolph Hitler on his blackboard?
Some in the Republican Party have become Hansel and Gretel. Luckily, they have sane moderates like David Frumm and Fareed Zakaria to throw them some crumbs to help find their way home. I'm just worried that these voices of reason and true conservatism will be ignored. What would have happened if Hansel and Gretel used the crumbs just to chew on and spit out if they didn't like them?
Just like refusing to realize that George Bush started the bank bailout, spent us into the trillions, and started the largest socialist medical program in our history.
Please, let's pray for some humility, honesty and reason as we head into the next election. Let's stay out of the circus and in reality please.
