Name of Kalona man killed in buggy crash released

The Johnson County Sheriff's Office has identified the person killed in a buggy crash as 78-year-old Emery Miller from Kalona.
The Johnson County sheriff's office said the driver of the buggy, Emery's son, Everett Miller, 42, had inadvertently veered off the road sending the vehicle into a steep ditch, causing it to overturn on Eagle Ave. SW around 9:05 a.m. Sunday.
Emery's wife, Edna Miller, 77, was transported to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics for injuries. Her condition is not available.
Everett Miller and his 10-year-old son Ryan Miller were not injured in the crash. The horse pulling the buggy also escaped injury.
