Liberty is God’s gift to believers

America's liberty was not created by politicians, neither did they write a law or levy a tax that prospered this nation. However, today's political elitists have been destroying this country by pen strokes for 100-plus years. Sadly, by voluntarily enslaving ourselves to government dependency through the promises of future security, citizens have turned a blind eye to the truth that only God can give true liberty.
Politicians have held taxpayers hostage to their spending binges for decades, but the vast majority of Americans who do not vote should truly be held responsible for their ambivalence to the creation of this nation. They have encouraged the gradual takeover of these semi-United States of America.
The Tea Party movement's patriots are the awakening of that once-ambivalent majority. And since they are silent no more, both parties seek control through either intimidation or chest-beating theatrics.
Example: Former President Bill Clinton asserted that patriots would be inspired to violence via dissenting opinions of Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck, yet Hillary Clinton, now secretary of state, stated, “ ... it's the duty of every American to have a dissenting opinion ... .” Manipulating words have exposed the progressive liberals' desire to control us.
On April 15, this Christian American found inspiration in speeches fellow Tea Party patriots gave revealing a spirit of liberty not experienced since 1776. Liberty, like grace, cannot be created/grown through humanity's efforts. Scripture says through knowledge of God (2 Peter 1:2) and by faith (Ephesians 2:8) it's God's gift to believers.
