No way to know origins of Petland puppies’
May. 16, 2010 12:10 am
Animal lovers, please watch the TV program “Animal Planet Investigates: Petland” on Channel 38 at 9 p.m. Monday.
If you're thinking of buying a new puppy, make sure you actually get to see the puppy's parents in their own home to ensure that they were born in a good environment and that you know what the parents look like.
Otherwise, you cannot know whether puppies in stores come from good environments and have the parental breeds you think they have.
Of course, the best place to get a dog in regards to saving dogs' lives is your animal shelter. Because of overpopulation, millions of dogs are killed each year.
Please be part of the solution to this overpopulation/euthanasia problem by adopting your next dog!
