Iowa's McCaffery plans to sign more players

CHICAGO -- Iowa men's basketball coach Fran McCaffery said he plans to sign more players to scholarships for the upcoming basketball season.
"At least one, maybe two," McCaffery said Tuesday at the Big Ten Conference meetings.
The signing period to ink players to letters of intent ends today, but that hasn't changed McCaffery's recruiting thus far.
"It's still ongoing," McCaffery said. "We can still sign somebody after the period ends; we just won't sign it on the line. We're still recruiting."
Iowa returns seven players from last year's 10-22 team. Iowa has signed three players -- Devyn Marble, Zach McCabe and Melsahn Basabe -- for next year. Iowa has three available scholarships for next season.
