The differences between Democrats, Republicans
The Gazette Opinion Staff
May. 23, 2010 12:49 am
When George Wallace said, “they ain't tain cents worth a difference between them,” he was dead wrong. The Republicans are not equal to the Democrats, but we must take into consideration that the Republicans, as a group, are slow learners. They could not waste our tax money quite as fast or restrict our freedom of choice as much as the Democrats, but we must commend them for trying.
If George Wallace were alive today, I am sure he would recognize the difference between the Republicans and the Democrats.
The Republicans seem to have to be shown the way toward progressive socialism and away from personal freedom. Is this because they are slow learners or because they are gutless wonders or a combination of both?
