Xavier, Wash Boys are Headed to State

CEDAR RAPIDS - The Xavier boys are headed back to Des Moines. The Saints beat Hudson 1-0 on Saturday to head to state. Tim Bouchard scored scored the game winning goal for Xavier.
The Saints will play Norwalk Thursday in Des Moines.
Over at Kingston Cedar Falls and Cedar Rapids Washington went to overtime, but in the first OT freshman Jack Sundermann ended it on a great cross from Brandon Besong. The Warriors are also headed to Des Moines.
Muhammad Shehata score the Tigers' goal in the first half, Besong answered with a penalty kick to tie it at 1. Then Sundermann buried the game winner in overtime.
Wash will play West Des Moines Valley Thursday at 5:00.

Iowa City West 5-0 over Muscatine
Decorah beat Waterloo Columbus 3-1
Kennedy held off Prairie 2-0
IMS was upset by Holy Trinity 1-0
Dub. Wahlert slipped by Marion 1-0
Postville lost 4-3 to Clear Lake in a shootout
Dyersville Beckman got past Solon 3-2
