Vander Plaats will stand up for Iowa
The Gazette Opinion Staff

I thought I wanted to vote for Terry Branstad for governor but I was wrong. I have discovered that Branstad is just more of the same things I don't like about the direction of things in Iowa. Instead, I have discovered that Bob Vander Plaats is the breath of fresh air that Iowa needs. He stands for values that are what makes Iowa a great state. He stands for and believes in the U.S. Constitution and understands why it is so important that we turn the course and return to what this state and this country were founded upon. He understands that courts don't make laws. Vander Plaats will stand up for state rights and not allow our federal government to tread upon what Iowa residents want and what Iowa needs.
Get off your couches and vote in Tuesday's primary. No matter what others may say, your vote does matter, it does count, and most important, many have died so that you can exercise that right.
