Texas to stay in Big 12

The University of Texas will remain a member of the Big 12 Conference, the school announced on its website Monday afternoon.
The announcement ends two weeks of speculation that the Longhorns would leave the league and take five other members to the Pac-10 Conference. A news conference is scheduled for Tuesday morning.
