On June 15, 1911, Doc Crandall (Cedar Rapids Bunnies - 1906-07) pitched a complete game shutout to lead the New York Giants to a 3-0 win over the St. Louis Cardinals at Robison Field. Crandall struck out five while allowing five hits and three walks in the game.
Otis "Doc" Crandall posted a 106-62 mark with a 2.92 ERA during his 10 year MLB career playing for the New York Giants, St. Louis Terriers, St. Louis Browns and the Boston Braves. Crandall played in three World Series (1911-13) as a member of the New York Giants.
Otis "Doc" Crandall went 8-3 with a 3.60 ERA for the 1906 Cedar Rapids Bunnies. The Bunnies finished 79-43 and won the Three I League Championship. Crandall posted a 6-7 mark and a 2.73 ERA the following season for the 1907 Cedar Rapids Bunnies. The Bunnies finished 72-61 under manager Belden Hill.
