Cedar Rapids police confirm a third business has been robbed in just two days.
The latest hold-up happened around 1:30 a.m. Friday at Rodeway Inn, 4011 16th Ave. SW. Police said two black males in their 20s were armed with a long gun when they demanded money from the hotel clerk.
No one was injured.
Details were still sketchy, but one suspect was described as around 6 feet tall and the other around 5-foot-5.
Police are unsure if the robbery is connected to two that happened in about an hour Wednesday night. Mama Mia's Pizza and Pasta, 408 Edgewood Rd. NW, was robbed around 10:40 p.m. A second heist was reported at Howard Johnson, 616 33rd Ave. SW, just before midnight.
Investigators said two men wearing bandannas on their faces and yellow gloves were present for both of those robberies.
Sgt. Cristy Hamblin said officers were unsure if serial robbers are on the loose. No arrests have been made, she said.
