An annual test conducted last Thursday found E. coli bacteria in a well that sits on the College Community Schools Campus.
Water from that well flows into the school's sprinkler system and the concession stand area near the baseball diamond, but does not feed any of the school buildings.
College Community Schools' Spokesperson Steve Doser says the district shut off the well the moment the test came back and no one has reported any illnesses.
The water remains shut off now as the Linn County Public Health Department conducts more tests.
This September, a new concession stand area will switch off well water completely and use city water instead.
