Some advice for new C.R. city manager

Jul. 6, 2010 12:01 am
Well, Mr. Jeff Pomeranz, the people of Cedar Rapids and I know very little about you. And you are taking over as city manager in early September. We have every right to know more about you.
During the summer, you need to review in person the flood damage to businesses and especially property owners. Take a very good look with your heart. And listen to the flood victims very carefully, and list what they need from you to make their lives significantly much better. You be totally ready to take the ball of leadership and run this September.
Do interviews with KCRG-TV9 and KGAN Channel 2 and with The Gazette Editorial Board and with metro radio stations to let the people of this great city really know you.
Tell what makes you tick and what you have planned and dreamed for the residents of this city. And what you will do to help us to recover from this disastrous flood.
Have your family be part of the many families in this city. I wish you my best.
