Grassley remains the right man for the job

Recent Democrat television ads declare that “big oil” gave Sen. Chuck Grassley $219,000, but don't say when or over how many years it was given. I'll bet it was over several years and was used to pay for his weekly trips to and from Washington D.C. to see his constituents in Iowa every year.
During his time as senator and campaigning for president, Barack Obama was given $77,000 by British Petroleum (BP). For at least the last two years, BP has had more fines for safety rule violations than has any other oil company drilling in the Gulf of Mexico, yet they were allowed to continue drilling for oil until the big explosion and oil spill. Could lax enforcement of regulations have been an indirect cause of the big oil spill?
Grassley should be re-elected because he was a leader in the fight to prevent the passage of the $888 billion ”stimulus bill” that hasn't added many nongovernment jobs to our economy. He also tried to modify or stop the passage of Obamacare and its projected $629 billion in new taxes and raid on Medicare funds.
He also has worked to prevent granting amnesty to illegal immigrants before obtaining control of the border, cap-and-trade legislation, and Card Check legislation that would allow unions to deny workers the secret ballot in union elections.
If re-elected, Grassley will continue work to reduce our taxes, decrease government control of industry and help develop new supplies of oil.
