Motorcyclist hurt in Iowa City crash

A motorcycle hit a curb and skidded out of control in Iowa City this morning, injuring the driver, police said.
Emergency responders were called to the intersection of Norwood Circle and Friendship Street around 8:30 a.m. today.
Police on scene said the motorcycle was the only vehicle involved in the accident, and that the driver had suffered a head injury. The driver was taken by ambulance to a local hospital for treatment.
Police were still investigating the incident around 9:15 a.m.
