‘All men created equal’ includes gay people, too

Re: Alan Laird's July 24 letter, titled “Interfaith Alliance challenges God's word”: America was also founded on the principle that all men are created equal. Do you think that includes gay people? Further, if you believe in God, I think you would believe that God made us all, so He also made gay people.
So now the question would be: Do people choose to be gay or are they born that way? If you should talk to some, you will find that they don't choose to be gay. After all, it is not easy to be in a minority group.
So the next question: Should gay people be allowed to marry? If you can have the privileges of marriage, why should anyone else who is equal to you not have the same?
I am sure you have read “Judge ye not others lest ye be judged.” Perhaps you should practice your morality for yourself and let others practice theirs. There have been more than 2,000 gay couples married in Iowa so far. Have you been negatively affected by them? Please read about the other side of the issue.
