Kernels extend losing streak to 5 games
GENEVA, Ill. - Kane County put up a pair of three-run innings last night and defeated Cedar Rapids, 6-4, handing the Kernels their fifth straight loss.
The Cougars scored three in the second and three more in the fourth against Kernels starter Stephen Locke (6-4), but two of those runs were unearned. The Kernels committed three errors.
Jeremy Cruz and Michael Wing each had two hits for the
Kernels, who play at Kane County again tonight at 6:30.
