Man taken to hospital after running into construction site

A male driver, whose age could not be verified, was taken to Mercy Hospital in Cedar Rapids for precautionary measures after his truck ran off the road and collided with a construction vehicle on Thursday.
Deputies say at around 10:20 a.m., the truck, heading north on Iowa Highway 965, veered off the road at the intersection of IA-965 and 120th St. in Swisher, which is currently under construction. The truck was stopped after a collision with one of the construction company's vehicles.
Johnson County Sheriff's Deputy Chris Langenberg said the driver was conscious after the crash. He said deputies suspect the driver may have had medical issues that contributed to the accident.
