ATV rider dies in crash near West Point

Authorities say a Fort Madison man died when his all-terrain vehicle crashed near West Point in southeast Iowa.
The Lee County sheriff's office says 24-year-old Michael Hartley was driving the ATV Sunday morning when he failed to negotiate a curve in a road and the ATV hit a tree.
Hartley was pinned under the machine. He was taken to a Fort Madison hospital, where he died.
Authorities say it was foggy at the time of the crash.
