Home destroyed when fire rekindles in Keota

Officials say a fire rekindled inside a Keota home overnight and is now a total loss.
No one was hurt in the blaze at April Thompson's house at 1365 210th St. Crews responded there when a 911 caller reported the house was fully engulfed in flames around 5:30 a.m. Wednesday.
Firefighters doused the flames, which had spread to the nearby trees and electrical poles.
The same firefighters had been there Tuesday morning for an electrical fire that was contained to the basement. Investigators determined that fire apparently rekindled.
No one was inside the residence when either fire started.
