Football Preview: City High looks to defend 4A title

The Iowa City City High Little Hawks begin their quest to defend their 4A state crown on Friday.City High lost some key players from last years state title team including AJ Derby, Ellis Jordan, and Jon Chelf. But Head Coach Dan Sabers says the Little Hawks may have more ‘good players' on this years team, just not the standout ‘name' players.City High has won 4 state football titles, and is trying to become just the 8th team in 4A to ever win back to back championships.They open the season Friday on the road at Dubuque Senior.
