Iowa leaders, lend support to Lake Delhi
The Gazette Opinion Staff
Aug. 27, 2010 12:34 am
Our Lake Delhi Recreation Association president has worked day and night to help flood victims and get our Lake Delhi back. This also includes the rest of the board and many volunteers, some of who have full-time jobs.
We now need the help of our Iowa senators and representatives from all over the state, since many of their constituents have places and/or memories of our lake.
We, the dam owners, help support the dam by taxing ourselves an extra percentage of our property taxes. We pay to maintain a public lake that is used by many non-residents, who pay nothing to support our lake and beaches.
Lake Delhi is important to us, Delaware County and Iowa. Please give us your support.
