Miller-Meeks would protect Social Security

I have heard Dr. Mariannette Miller-Meeks say the government must stop raiding Social Security. On numerous occasions, this 2nd District Republican congressional candidate has stated that current benefits should not be altered because the government must honor its contract with seniors.
Contrary to false allegations in a recent letter, there is nothing in any remarks or on her website that says Miller-Meeks would privatize any portion of Social Security. However, a look at history tells us that when Lyndon Johnson unlocked the trust fund so that the receipts could be used in the general operating fund, that has been the greatest threat to Social Security. The Democrats broke their trust with the people and have put the entire system at risk.
Furthermore, Rep. Dave Loebsack voted for a budget that provided no cost-of-living adjustment for two years in a row, the first time in the history of Social Security. How did Mr. Loebsack know in late 2009 and early 2010 what the rate of inflation would be in 2011? This is how he protects seniors?
