October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Cancer does not discriminate against age, race or sex; this is true for Breast Cancer as well. Based on information from Komen.org the estimated rate of invasive breast cancer is 126 in every 100,000 women.
Getting regular screening tests is the best way for women to lower their risk of dying from breast cancer. Screening tests can find breast cancer early, when it's most treatable. Please join us as representatives from Healthy Linn Care Network, Mercy Medical Center and St. Luke's Hospital will be available to answer questions regarding Breast Cancer.
