Armed men force way into Cedar Rapids apartment, rob occupants

Four men said they were robbed Thursday night when three other men forced their way into a southwest Cedar Rapids apartment.
The victims, aged 19 through 21, were at Alexandra Apartments, 4419 First Ave. SW, when the men forced their way into their apartment a few minutes before 7 p.m., Sgt. Cristy Hamblin said. The men showed a gun and took electronics, cell phones, and other items worth $1,660.
The three assailants then left. The victims didn't see whether they left in a vehicle and were unable to provide a detailed description of the robbers.
