Police ask for help in catching Iowa City burglar
Iowa City police are asking for the public's help in identifying an individual who they believe committed vehicle burglaries in a parking lot at 319 E. Court St.
According to a news release, video surveillance shows the male suspect walking through the parking lot attempting to open vehicle doors. In at least two instances, the suspect finds car doors unlocked, and the video shows the suspect entering the vehicles and taking property.
Iowa City Area CrimeStoppers is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest of this suspect. Anyone with information about this crime is urged to contact CrimeStoppers at 358-TIPS (8477).
