A few snippets from Bret Bielema's Tuesday appearance on Sporting News Radio
Mike Hlas Oct. 19, 2010 11:43 pm
Wisconsin football coach Bret Bielema appeared on the Todd Wright Show on Sporting News Radio Tuesday at 11:30 p.m., Central time. Long hours, those coaches.
Among a few snippets I grabbed from the show are these quotes from Bielema five days before his team plays at Iowa:
"We'll (both) play good American football and see who can be the last one standing."
"(The most-physical team in a football game wins) if not 100 percent, then it's above 98 percent."
"Kirk (Ferentz) has probably mastered the art of listening. A lot of people in this world hear things, but very few listen. ... He'll listen to everything, and kind of sort it all out as it comes through."
"If any of our guys on the staff knew what a Kirk Ferentz staff meeting was like, they'd know I do it almost exactly the same way."
"We do things right. Our kids haven't been in trouble. After the Michigan State (Wisconsin's lone loss this season), I told them there's not another team I'd rather be around than you guys."
