Iowa City schools, Prairie claim MVC division titles

Cedar Rapids Prairie boys' and Iowa City High and Iowa City West girls' cross country teams captured Mississippi Valley Conference division titles this fall.Prairie, top-ranked in Class 4A, posted a 96-1 record based on teams the Hawks placed in front of during invitationals this season. The Hawks perched atop the Valley Division. Dubuque Senior boys' team was 71-19, which is good for the best winning percentage (.789) in the Mississippi Division.City High and West girls teams won the Mississippi and Valley Divisions, respectively. The second-ranked Little Hawks went 113-4 against competition, while No. 4 West was 108-5.
