Some news of the day:
Iowa is officially on linebacker alert.
Senior MLB Jeff Tarpinian said today he's extremely iffy for Saturday's game against No. 5 Michigan State. Also, he talked about freshmen James Morris and Shane DiBona, who could be the starters this week. Yes, could be.
Sounds as though senior WLB Jeremiha Hunter might be on the "iffy" this weekend, too. Senior Troy Johnson, who's starting for Tarpinian, suffered a stinger against Wisconsin but said Tuesday he'll play this week.
I hoped this wouldn't be ready until after the Kirk Ferentz radio show tonight, but check back here for updates if there are any from the show. It begins at 7. Ferentz rolls in about 7:30 and takes questions until 8:30.
UPDATE: Ferentz says Tarpinian (stinger) has a chance and Hunter (knee) is questionable. That probably means out and out.
Iowa practiced at Kinnick today because of the high winds.
