Give GOP chance to do better than Dems
N/A
Oct. 28, 2010 12:26 am
Having studied the Bruce Braley/Dave Loebsack brag sheets sent at taxpayer expense (timing?), I find them to be nothing but half truths.
1. The statistics that are quoted, represents maximums, not estimated ranges.
2. Nothing is said about costs.
3. Nothing is said about the fact actual 10-year costs of previous entitlements were seven to nine times the projected cost.
4. Nothing was said that the voters were strict party line votes. Is what's “good” for California always good for Iowa? (Consider the demographics).
I find these brag sheets similar to the flea's comment to the elephant after they crossed the suspension bridge; “We sure shook that one didn't we, big boy?”
Let's give our Republican candidates a chance to do better for Iowa.
