Democrats to blame for economic ills
N/A
Oct. 30, 2010 12:19 am
In 2006 we turned the Republicans out of congress, and sent two new congressmen to Washington from Eastern Iowa.
We were also experiencing 4.6 percent unemployment, had a budget deficit of $161 billion and 26.5 million people were on food stamps.
Today, after four long years of a Democratic Congress, we have 9.6 percent unemployment, a budget deficit of something over $1 trillion, and have more than 40 million people on food stamps.
We are often told that all this is Bush's fault. However, President Bush had no control over that Democratic Congress that passed every bill that he signed.
We still do not know everything that was in some of the bills passed and signed by our current president and Congress.
Our economic ills align perfectly with having a Democratic Congress. Voters throughout our country are preparing to turn the Democrats out of Congress. We should do likewise with those two failed congressmen from Eastern Iowa.
