Loebsack a 'spendaholic,' so choose the newbie

“Hi. I'm Dave, and I'm a spendaholic.” That's Dave Loebsack, our representative to Congress.
No, he didn't say that, but he should have. The Gazette is naive to think Dave could stop spending. Ain't going to happen. He hasn't so far. He's voted 98 percent with Nancy Pelosi and the liberal spending juggernaut that caused our national debt to skyrocket. He certainly isn't going to quit now. Especially since he's tied to Nancy's apron strings with her recent $300,000 “donation.” It all comes at a price, Dave. Even if you wanted to quit spending, you can't.
My biggest problem with Dave is his vote for Obamacare. Obama lied to us many times about that legislation. (“You'll get to keep your health insurance and your doctor.”) Fat chance! We'll all be paying for his lies for generations to come. Don't forget Dave voted for it, even when every poll showed his constituents didn't want it.
While I appreciate the hard work and time Dave put in on the flood recovery, it's important to note that it wasn't his money. It was ours. I can't think of a better reason to spend government money than for flood recovery, or a worse reason than a health care obscenity that no one wanted, which will cost over a trillion dollars, and which won't solve the problem.
So, those of you voting on Nov. 2 have a choice: A Spendaholic Democrat or an untried Republican. I'll take the newbie anytime.
