Loebsack worked to benefit veterans
The Gazette Opinion Staff

I retired from the military in 2004. I am tried of all the false accusations and assertions waged in this tiring political year. One assertion is that Congressman Dave Loebsack is not there for veterans.
Loebsack obtained funding for the Veterans Affairs Community-Based Outpatient Clinic in Cedar Rapids. This has streamlined medical services for 20,000 Linn County veterans.
Loebsack and his staff have worked long hours to help many of our veterans obtain VA service compensation benefits after the VA had denied their claims.
Our congressman was there for every Iowa unit deployed, and he was there when they returned. I urge all veterans to vote for Loebsack.
