Don’t waste farmland building homes, stores

Did you know 1 billion people in the world are chronically hungry? That means they never have enough food.
Also, many people are suffering from malnutrition, which is not getting enough of the different food groups. Some 25,000 to 35,000 people die a day from being chronically hungry, more than those caused by famine, and
75 percent of those deaths are child-related.
What we can do to help is by stop using farmland in Iowa to build houses and malls. Iowa has one-tenth of the world's richest farmland. Soon, we are going to run out of room in the world with nowhere else to farm.
Right now, only 4 percent of the world's land can be farmed. So we have to conserve the land that can be farmed.
