The look on Demarlo Belcher's face in the photo above says it all.
He never controlled Ben Chappell's pass with 28 seconds left that would've lifted Indiana to victory. It hit his hands and pretty much slid down his body. He never controlled it and definitely feels the weight of the world right now.
"What did I see in their defense?" IU coach Bill Lynch said. "I saw a wide open receiver, that's what I saw. Unfortunately, we didn't make the play."
Iowa did.
Stanzi-to-McNutt for 52 yards and a TD with 2:50 left won it for Iowa.
Now, the Hawkeyes take a breath and gird for Northwestern, which is beating Penn State right now. The Wildcats have a two-game winning streak on the Hawkeyes.
